About this condition

Kidney stones are hard mineral deposits that form inside your kidneys, often causing intense pain when they move through your urinary tract. They develop when your urine contains more crystal-forming substances like calcium and uric acid than it can dilute. Drinking plenty of water and dietary changes can help prevent stones from forming.
