About this condition
Spinal TB (Pott's disease) is relatively common in India given the high TB burden. TB bacteria infect spine vertebrae causing severe back pain, fever, and spinal deformity. Early diagnosis through MRI and biopsy, followed by 12-18 months of anti-TB treatment is essential to prevent paralysis and permanent damage.
