About this condition

This is a rare type of blood cancer affecting plasma cells that produce abnormal antibody proteins, now in a remission phase where active disease symptoms have subsided. During remission, the cancer is controlled though patients require ongoing monitoring to detect any return of disease. Regular follow-up blood tests and imaging help ensure the remission continues and treatment can restart quickly if needed.
