Febrile seizures are common in Indian children between 6 months and 5 years during high fever from any infection. About 2-5% of children experience at least one febrile seizure. While frightening for parents, most are harmless and don't lead to epilepsy. Medical evaluation is needed to identify and treat the underlying fever cause.
