About this condition

Chalcosis is a condition where copper deposits accumulate in the left eye tissues, typically after a copper-containing foreign body enters the eye. Over time, this creates a greenish-brown discoloration and can damage the lens, retina, and other structures. Early removal of the foreign body and monitoring are important to prevent progressive vision loss.
