About this condition
Damaged dilated airways produce excessive mucus and recurrent infections causing blood in sputum, seen in India often following childhood TB or infections. The damaged airways bleed easily during infections. Treatment includes chest physiotherapy, antibiotics for infections and sometimes surgery.
